The project scope consists of on-call maintenance and repair services for (42) of the District of Columbia Public Schools. Such work includes electrical, mechanical and plumbing services, fire, life safety, as well as health and food code repairs/replacements. Upgrades include roof replacement/repair, carpentry, masonry, and window replacement.
Project Features:
- On Call Maintenance and Building Modernization of forty two (42) District of Columbia Public Schools
- Construct special projects; designated Office of Public Facilities Education and Modernization
- Perform General Construction and Construction Management of over $8 million
- Complete outstanding work orders, remedying Fire Code violations, and Health Code violations
Major renovations on multiple schools to include:
- Design-Build services for the formation of multiple classrooms
- Removal and relocation of entire gymnasium bleacher seating
- Removal, refurbishing and reinstallation seating for an entire auditorium
- Seamlessly increase existing classroom wall heights for privacy and acoustical purposes
- Remove existing doors in several schools and replace with more durable, attractive, and fire safe doors
- Upgrade inefficient HVAC systems to include new AC units in multiple schools
- Major repairs to walls with intricate moldings and detail due to long term water damage

Before Renovations
Prior to renovations Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School, the auditorium seating was in desperate need of repairs and refinishing. The floors were damaged and outdated, and the walls were severely water damaged.

After Renovations
After renovations, Roosevelt Senior High School has brand new hardwood floors and carpet walkways. The stadium seating has been repaired and refinished. The once severely water damaged walls are now in pristine condition, giving the auditorium a fresh start for the 2009 school year.

McKinley Technology High School
Before Renovations
Prior to renovations, the gym floor at McKinley Technical High School
had been worn down to bare, untreated, and damaged wood. The lines and markings were faded and dull leaving this once bright and lively gym looking sad and neglected.

After renovations, the gym floor has been refinished. The wood has been sanded and repaired. The basketball court has been repainted with the school colors then finished with the bright high gloss coating.

The gym floor has been personalized with lettering to include a custom school logo center court. The gym is now bright, vibrant, modern and a place at which the students can be proud to play.
